Personal Training Result Amanda
Amanda was a friend who had moved down to Sydney from Newcastle and initially searched around her home in Newtown for a PT. Giving Amanda some guidance on what she should look for in a PT helped…yet she could not find someone who would fit the bill.
Next step was popping over to our gym in Caringbah and doing PT once per week with a program for the other 3 days per week of weights.
Her main goals in order of importance were
- Firstly making sure she is lifting properly and building in a way that is for the long-term.
- Secondly being able to change her body composition (less fat, more muscle) with a focus on building up that muscle in her upper body and legs.
Why did you decide to do PT?
I was doing classes at a gym and wasn’t seeing any results and was getting bored. Also I didn’t particularly like being yelled at by an over enthused gym instructor either.
It was an easy decision to train with Ben because I didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to march into a gym and start lifting weights by myself. I wanted to get stronger and do something that I could sustain long term. As much as I love lifting, having a trainer keeps me on track and accountable.
Why did you decide to continue PT with Fortitude Performance?
Training with Ben helps to me keep track of my progress and I am able to gauge how much stronger I am getting. I’m able to see the numbers on the page and can see the centimeters going down in the areas I would like tighter and the centimeters going up where I want to build muscle. I am constantly improving my technique which will allow me to lift for a long time without injury. The new program I receive every fortnight or every month also keeps it interesting so I never get bored and can go to the gym with purpose.
How was it working with Fortitude Performance?
Ben is amazing, his knowledge is vast and he puts his client’s technique first which is extremely important. I have learnt so much about my body and they way it should and can move. I look forward to going to the gym every day, I’m addicted. Ben is very approachable and encouraging while keeping training fun. Most of all Ben is invested in his client’s success and wants to see me do well and be happy.
What Personal Training results have you noticed since you started training?
I’ve been thin my whole life but was feeling sluggish and didn’t have any muscle definition or tone, some might refer to this as skinny-fat.
Since training with Ben my body has changed a lot and I can see some muscle definition and have no wobbly bits anymore. I’m a lot stronger, confident and happier with myself in general. I now walk into the gym and am not scared to be in the weight lifting area and know I am armed with the knowledge to train safely
