Nora used improved Strength & Conditioning to win a World Championship In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – because improved Strength & Conditioning allowed her to be confident in achieving her dream.
When she came to us at FP Nora’s main goals were
- Firstly to comfortably make a lower weight category
- Secondly to keep energy up for her training week to week
Our main focus was to implement education on nutrition and develop a nutrition plan around her training schedule. Each week we had a check-in to make sure her weight was on track and energy was up.
From week to week Nora reported changes in body composition and plenty of energy for training. Once the tournament commenced in Las Vegas Nora was in contact with us about pre-comp and during comp nutrition.
After a monumental effort on the day Nora was able to win
- Gold in the Blue Masters 2 U/74kg Division
- Gold in the Open Blue Master 2 Division
1. Why did you decide to do Strength & Conditioning coaching with Fortitude Performance?
Training has been a big part of my lifestyle, although strong physically, never gained strength nor weight did not shift.
Though would not consider I had major weight issues, but there was something that I was missing in my training whether it be nutrition, weight training or a combination of both.
I noticed this more in competition when my physical ability took longer to recover and I was exhausted quickly.
2. What competition were you getting ready for?
The World Masters in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
3. How was it working with Fortitude Performance?
The results have been sensational, my body composition has changed and my recovery and ability to maintain high endurance has improved 100%.
4. What results have you noticed since you started working with Fortitude Performance?
Body composition, improved nutrition habits, improved energy levels. A major part was reduced weight whilst maintaining strength.
5. Do you feel like your performance and body composition has improved for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Yes, I have noticed a remarkable improvement week after week my fatigue levels have reduced. My ability to stay active and explosive during the wrestle has been my major change to improving my BJJ.
