Habit Change: Are You Ready For It?

I get to see a lot of people as a Personal Trainer who come to me who are looking to  habit change.

Now I want you to ask yourself “How ready am I for  habit change?”.

We will have a look in this blog at what the best questions to ask yourself when you want to change which are:

  1. How badly do I want to change
  2. How ready am I to change

Some strategies that can be used to help achieve the changes you want in your fat loss, dropping a dress size or having more energy.

Why is it so hard to habit change?

We may want to achieve the following results:

  • Lose weight
  • Drop a dress size
  • Have more energy for life

Then one of the following happens that makes it almost impossible from the beginning to affect true change.

  • You adopt an approach an all or nothing approach and fall off the wagon.
  • We try approaches that we know do not really make us happy and are not sustainable.
  • At the end we are not truly ready to change the environment around us, our habits or our support network.

What should I do now?

We should be more clear on the process we need to go through in our heads when we are looking to change.

Looking at how badly do you want to change:

  • Have you reach a point where enough is enough?
  • Are you wanting to change for the right reasons?
  • How will this make you feel if you don’t change?

Are you ready to make a change?

  • Have a look at your current situation
  • Take stock of your current habits
  • Look at your support network

Understanding these key questions from the beginning can set you up for guaranteed results.

It is the action takers that will move forward and progress to having the body they deserve and want.
